Internal Wall Insulation
We were contacted by the owners of a beautiful detached Farm House who had extremely high energy bills and were looking to improve the energy efficiency of their property before installing an Air Source Heat Pump. The ECO Providers UK installed Internal Wall Insulation using British Gypsum’s Drilyner RF Insulated Dry Lining System. The homeowners were very pleased with the end result, which significantly reduced the heat escaping from the property but allowed them to maintain the character of the building.
Room in Roof Insulation
The owner of a large, detached bungalow contacted us to see if he could improve the insulation levels in his property as the bedrooms were very cold and they struggled to maintain an adequate temperature during the winter months. We carried out a full technical survey to establish that the property would benefit from Room in Roof Insulation to help maintain the heat that was being generated. The ECO Providers UK installed SWIP Room in Roof Insulation system which involved mechanically fixing Insulated Plasterboard to the Slopes and Gable Walls of the property and topping up the loft area with Earthwool to the required depth of 300mm. The result was a much more comfortable place to sleep and significant saving on the owner’s energy bills.
First Time Central Heating
We were contacted by the Landlord of a property in Bradford to see how we could improve the energy efficiency of their flat. Our retrofit assessment established that the property would benefit from Internal Wall Insulation and First Time Central Heating. Due to the tenant meeting the eligibility criteria the work was fully funded by The Energy Company Obligation. The result was a warmer comfortable place for the tenant to live and an improved EPC rating for the Landlord ensuring future compliance with MEES regulations.
High Heat Retention Electric Storage Heaters
As part of the ECO Scheme, we helped the tenant of a flat in Sheffield to upgrade their old electric panel heaters to new High Heat Retention Electric Storage Heaters. This allowed them to move onto an ‘Economy 7’ tariff allowing them to heat the property with off-peak electricity and save money on their electricity bill. The new Dimplex Quantum heaters are sleek and stylish and give the customer much more control overheating their home.
