The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme is a government energy efficiency program designed to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty across the UK. Energy Suppliers are obligated to take part in the scheme to improve the ability of low-income, fuel poor and vulnerable households to heat their homes. The current phase of the scheme is set to run until March 2026 and targets properties with lowest EPC ratings requiring them to be improved by at least two EPC Bands to a minimum of a ‘D Rating’.

The ECO4 scheme is a great way to save money on your energy bills and make your home more comfortable and cheaper to heat. The scheme also offers additional benefits such as:

  • Improving the value of your property
  • Making your home more energy efficient and eco-friendly
  • Reducing your carbon footprint
  • Helping to protect the environment.

If eligible, the grants are very generous and can cover up to 100% of the costs of your energy efficiency improvements.

You can find out more about the ECO4 scheme and how it could benefit you by speaking to one of our friendly team members. We’re always happy to help!

Once we have established you are eligible for the scheme, we will be in touch to arrange a Retrofit Assessment on your property.  One of our in-house Assessors will visit your property to carry out a whole-house survey and establish which measures can be installed and funded via the ECO Scheme.  As part of the survey the Assessor will take pictures and measurements to ensure we recommend the correct improvements and those most beneficial to your property.  This allows our Retrofit Coordinator to generate the ‘Improvement Plan’ for your property and establishes what order the improvements are installed.  Our operations team will be in touch to book the installation dates and confirm how long each will take.  On completion of the work, we will submit the relevant compliance paperwork to our funders allowing you to sit back and enjoy the benefits and savings on your energy bills.
