Before the ECO4 upgrades, Ivy’s home was rated F29 on its EPC,
indicating a very poor energy efficiency level. This low rating resulted in
high energy bills, as the property failed to retain heat due to inadequate
insulation and outdated heating controls. Ivy often experienced cold
conditions indoors, forcing her to layer up to stay warm.
Alongside rising energy costs, she sought to address not only her

2. Solar Panels
- Installed 8 solar panels to generate clean electricity

3. Full Central Heating System
- Installed a complete, tailored central heating system

4. Heat Pump Installation
- Fitted a modern, high-efficiency heat pump system

The Outcome
- EPC Rating Improvement: From F29 to B89, significantly enhancing the home’s energy profile
- Energy Bill Savings: Ivy now saves approximately £1,262.23 annually
- Environmental Benefits: Reduced carbon emissions by 4,801.27 tCO2 per annum
