Extraction removes existing insulation from the gap between your inner and outer walls using specialist equipment. It may be appropriate where insulation is damaged, wet, unsuitable or poorly installed.

No. Damp and mould can have several causes. A property assessment is needed to understand the issue before extraction is recommended.
What does extraction involve?
Specialist equipment removes insulation through access points in the external wall. The proposed method, access, waste removal and making good should be explained as part of the agreed scope.
Will removal solve every damp problem?
Not necessarily. Leaks, damaged masonry or ventilation issues may require separate attention. Extraction should follow a diagnosis and form part of an appropriate plan.
Can the walls be insulated again afterwards?
Sometimes, if the property is suitable. The cavity and any underlying defects need assessment before replacement insulation is considered. Re-insulation is not an automatic part of extraction.
How long does the work take?
