The role

We are looking for a skilled roofer with solar panel installation experience. You will assess roof structures, install mounting systems and ensure solar panels are fitted safely, securely and to a high standard.

You must be based in the North West of England. This is an on-the-road role working directly for Eco Providers, teamed with an electrician. You must be able to travel around the North West and be happy to travel nationwide for projects.

Your responsibilities

• Assess roof structures and their condition to confirm suitability for solar panel installation.
• Install mounting systems and solar panels on a range of roof types.
• Ensure all roofing work is watertight and meets industry standards.
• Work with electricians and other team members to complete installations efficiently and safely.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to customers’ questions or concerns.
• Maintain and care for installation tools and equipment.

What you will need

• At least two years of solar roofing experience.
• Proven roofing experience, including the installation of solar panels.
• Knowledge of different roofing materials and techniques.
• The ability to work safely at height and in varying weather conditions.
• A strong understanding of roofing and solar installation safety procedures.
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A North West England base and willingness to travel nationwide.

Relevant roofing and solar installation certifications or licences are preferred.

Pay and working arrangements

• Pay: £170 – £220 per day.
• Self-employed, working for Eco Providers on a full-time basis.
• Company van provided.
• Uniform and credentials provided.
• Working as a team with an electrician.
• Work location: on the road, across the North West and nationwide.
